Comberton is a lovely village about 6 miles from Cambridge. The village won
an award for the Best village in Cambridgeshire in 2002.
Many various archaeological remains have been found here, including the Roman Villa near Fox's Bridge. Clive Sinclair developed one of his first calculators in the old village hall in the 1960's. |

St. Mary's Church dates from the 13th century and the earliest houses from shortly afterwards. The village sign was erected to mark the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977. The Village Pond, pictured above, was resurrected in 1953 as a Coronation Memorial. In early summer you can see many baby ducklings swimming on the pond. In 1972 there was a flock of 100 ducks and moorhens on the pond, it must have been a lovely sight. After relaxing by the pond why not drop into The Three Horseshoes pub in South Street for a lovely cold drink, or a meal. You will be made very welcome. If you would like to stay in the area you will not find a better Camping and Touring Park than the nearby Highfield Farm Touring Park. Web Site If you are visiting Somerset then why not stay at the Brook House Inn Touring Caravan Park in Castle Cary. They offer good food 7 days aweek and have pitches for 24 caravans or motor homes.
